University of Tartu IT services status page - Notice history

On 30th of April from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. the software update of UT's external website (ut.ee) will take place. During this period, the use of the external web and related services may be disrupted.

On 30th of April from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., there will be a software update. During this period, the use of the Moodle, testid.ut.ee, Mahara, LimeSurvey, Sisu@UT and related services may be disrupted.

On April 30th, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., the certificate will be renewed on the university's central authentication server. Therefore, Eduroam WiFi users must agree to the new certificate. Client devices will ask for user consent when connecting to the WiFi network. If any WiFi client device does not display the corresponding message and the Eduroam WiFi connection stops working, the Eduroam profile must be reconfigured according to the instructions in the IT helpdesk.

On April 24th from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m, regular maintenance work will take place, during which the operation of both information systems and central services (e.g. computer management, authentication, home folders, WiFi, printing, VPN) will be checked and system software updates will be made.

On March 27th from 11 pm to March 28th 2 am, SK ID Solutions will carry out planned maintenance work on the IT infrastructure. During the maintenance work, there will be short-term interruptions in the use of mobile ID and the issuance of new documents, as well as in the use of Smart-ID and the registration of new accounts.

On the 27th of March from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m, regular maintenance work will take place, during which the operation of both information systems and central services (e.g. computer management, authentication, home folders, WiFi, printing, VPN) will be checked and system software updates will be made.

25.03.2025 from 22:00 to 02:00 network maintenance work in Tartu, Lai 29 (switch software update).

The works will affect the following internet connections established to the HTM EENet network via the Lai 29 network node:

• State Information System Authority (Tartuma County Local Government Association state network end; switch port between EENet and state network)

On the 27th of February from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., regular maintenance work will take place, during which the operation of both information systems and central services (e.g. computer management, authentication, home folders, WiFi, printing, VPN) will be checked and system software updates will be made.

On the 27th of February from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., there may be problems with the internet connection of the UT Tartu buildings due to a software update of the Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including some tunnel2.ut.ee VPN connections being interrupted. Between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m., there will be an approximately 15-minute outage in the following buildings: Mäealuse 14, Kaarli puiestee 3 and Teatri väljak 3 in Tallinn, Raekoja plats 2 and Paul Kerese 14 in Narva, Ringi 35 in Pärnu, and Posti 1, Jakobsoni 14, Turu 7, Väike 6 and Jakobsoni 41 in Viljandi.

From the 26th of February 10 p.m. to February 27th 6 a.m., there may be disruptions in telephone communication in the following buildings:
Pärnu: Ringi 35
Tallinn: Mäealuse 14 and Kaarli pst 3
Tartu: Lossi 3 and Ülikooli 18a

On the 25th of February from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m, there will be a SiS2 software update. During this period, the use of the service and related services may be disrupted.

On the 21st of february from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m, there will be a Confluence software update. During this period, the use of the Jira, Wiki and related services may be disrupted.
